Design
This clinical trial was conducted in two groups of control and intervention based on the date of referral of patients to the intervention group (even days) and the control group (odd day),two blinded, each group of 90 people divided into two groups
Settings and conduct
Patients in the colonoscopy unit of Imam Khomeini hospital in Urmia receive educational film on bowel preparation for at least two days before colonoscopy. On the day of the colonoscopy, the quality of the bowel preparation is evaluated by a gastroenterologist who is unaware of both groups.
Participants/Inclusion and exclusion criteria
1 .Age: 18-65 years old
2. No history of previous colonoscopy
3. No emergency order for colonoscopy
4. Familiarity with a patient or a companion in Persian or Turkish
5. Having ordered at least two days prior to colonoscopy
Conditions of failure to enter
1.Hospitalized patients
2.Drug addiction or strong analgesia
3.Having previous colonoscopy history
4.Cancer patients
Intervention groups
The intervention group will receive colonoscopy training videos, educational film and explanations for the colonoscopy two days before the colonoscopy in colonoscopy unit.
The control group will receive routine training

Inclusion criteria:
Age: 18-65 years old
No history of previous colonoscopy
Not having an emergency colonoscopy
Familiarity with patient or a companions in Persian or Turkish
Having ordered at least two days prior to colonoscopy
The lack of use of hypnotics and sedative medications and triangular anti-depressant drugs, calcium channel blockers, and drug addiction or strong analgesics
Not having severe pain due to the nature of the disease (cancer).

Hospitalized patients
Drug addiction or strong analgesia
Having previous colonoscopy history

Description
The intervention group receives training on bowel preparation through video cards and educational videos and researcher descriptions at least two days before colonoscopy. These cards contain good and bad preparation pictures, as well as complications of inadequate bowel preparation and the use of polyethylene glycol.
