Comparison of electronic content, cell phone app and lecture training methods on nurse’s retention of knowledge and self-confidence on Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation in Iranian Social Security Organization Hospitals
Design
This is a quasi-experimental research with Pretest-Post-test design in three groups (Lecture, cell phone app and electronic content) on Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation . The population is all nurse working in three Iranian Social Security Organization Hospitals including Shahid Lavasani, shahid Labafinejad and Martyrs of panzdah khordad . The sample will be selected randomly from nurses working in three Social Security Organization hospitals. Each hospital will be randomly assigned to one of the teaching method i.e. Lecture, cell phone app and electronic content.The topics on Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation in three groups will be similar. The possibility of contact and interaction with researchers will be provided in case of any question or problem.The information gathering tools are a questionnaire for assessment of knowledge and a checklist for assessment of the self-confidence.
Settings and conduct
Three training methods will be randomly used for nurses working in Iranian Social Security Organization Hospitals located in Tehran province
Participants/Inclusion and exclusion criteria
The sample will be selected randomly from nurses working in three Social Security Organization hospitals.Exclusion criteria will be unwillingness to participate in the study
Intervention groups
Lecture on Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation group, cell phone app on Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation group and electronic content on Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation group

Randomization description
The sample will be selected from nurses working in three Social Security Organization hospitals. Using a lottery process, the training method will be chosen for each hospital by a colleague . As a result, training method will be randomly selected for each hospital. In each center, samples will be selected from the complete list of nurses working in the center randomly according to random digits table.

Description
Intervention group: For the E-content group, the educational content on Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation will be designed according to Bergman and Moore model. The content will be uploaded in the educational site of Iranian Social Security Organization at https://training.tamin.ir for the use of nurses in this group.

Intervention group: For the Mobile app group, life-cycle Model will be used for application development . The app will be used for delivering the educational content on Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation to nurses in this group.
