Determination of the effect of group reminiscence therapy on depression, anxiety and self-esteem of elderly persons with suicidal thoughts
Design
Randomized clinical trial with control group, parallel groups without blindness, followed for one month
Settings and conduct
This study is conducted in elderly peoples with suicidal thoughts in nursing homes of Lar city
Participants/Inclusion and exclusion criteria
The samples willing to participate in the research, having a score of 11 or more in Beck Depression Inventory, score 8 or more in Beck Anxiety Inventory, and score 25 or less in Rosenberg Self-Esteem Score
Intervention groups
Before the intervention, the questionnaires are completed by the intervention and control groups. Then group reminiscence therapy are held for the intervention group for 8 sessions. At the end of the sessions, the post-test is carried out in both, intervention and control groups, by using questionnaires (depression, anxiety, and self-esteem).

Inclusion/Exclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria:
Willingness to participate in the research;
having a score of 11 or more in Beck Depression Inventory;
score 8 or more in Beck Anxiety Inventory;
score 25 or less than in Rosenberg Self-Esteem Score.
Exclusion criteria:
The occurrence of any severe social, familial crises during the study
