Determining the Impact of Pre-Marriage Education and Advice Program in Youth in Isfahan
Design
Clinical trial with control group, with parallel groups, not blind,not randomized
Settings and conduct
First, the content is produced, then the application is designed and validated by experts.
Sampling is done by available sampling method from couples referring to the pre-marriage counseling center of Falavarjan, Isfahan.
Both control and intervention groups are assessed for inclusion criteria and the design goals are explained to the audience.
Couples will be given a consent form to read and sign, if they wish to participate in the study.
Participants/Inclusion and exclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria:
Satisfaction to do research;
Youth 18 to 29 years old;
First marriage record;
Having a smartphone with Android capabilities and the ability to use it.
Internet access;
Willingness to participate in research;
Non-inclusion criteria:
Having a history of participation in research-related training courses
Intervention groups
Intervention group: Education with smart phone application and common education in premarital centers.
Control group: common education in premarital centers.
Main outcome variables
Level of awareness, attitude and skills of young people

Measurement was carried out with a pre-marital questionnaire which has 12 questions of demographic variables, 30 knowledge questions, 20 awareness questions in the Likert scale and 10 questions on function. The validity of the questionnaire has been confirmed by 12 experts and its reliability through the alpha Cronbach test has won the acceptable percentage

Intervention group:Youth education with smart phone application with usual education in pre marriage centers.This app is designed with the Java programming language and for the android operating system, including matchmaking questions, spouse selection criteria, getting ready for marriage,tests, workshop movie, skills, getting to know marriage centers, mutual rights of couples. marriage orders. youth will receive pre-marriage training in a four-week training package and complete the questionnaires before and after the end of the intervention.
