The present study is a quasi-experimental study using pretest and posttest design aimed at investigating the effects of parental education on KAP of parents who have ADHD children. The parents of 30 children diagnosed with ADHD by a psychiatrist based on the risk criteria are recruited. All parents will participate in an education program consisting of 6 90-minute group education sessions held weekly including theoretical information about the entire program and parental problems, description of ADHD and its related problems through lectures (with introducing book, providing educational pamphlets with PowerPoint CD), Behavioral training techniques to strengthen parental skills to positively participate, group discussion, showing movies about interview with relevant experts, including: occupational therapist, speech therapist, and answer to parent's questions and offer suggestions to control future problems. Knowledge, attitude, and practice of participants will be measured and compared before and after the intervention.
