Assessment of Anterior Chamber Angle and Depth Using Anterior Segment Optical Coherence Tomography after Phacoemulsification in Comparison to phacoemulsification and Goniosynechialysis in Chronic Angle Closure glaucoma Patients Visiting Glaucoma Clinic, Farabi Hospital in 1389
In this randomized study primary angle closure glaucoma patients will be recruited and complete ophthalmic exam , gonioscopy , indentation gonioscopy will be perfomed .All of them will undergone anterior segment optical coherence tomography. Main inclusion criteria would be patent PI and visually significant cataract. Main exclusion criteria are advanced glaucoma and intraocular pressure greater than 35 mmHg. They will be divided into 2 groups. Sample sizeis calculated and will be about 30 patients in each group. In one group phacoemulsification , and in the other phcoemulsification and synechialysis will be performed by one surgeon . They will be followed postoperatively, 1 day, 1 week, and 1 month after surgery by another investigator and anterior segment optical coherence tomography is done after one month.Primary outcome measure will be angle parameters and anterior chamber parameters , determined by anterior segment optical coherence tomography .
