Determining the effect of first aid training based on health belief model on improving the ability of mothers with children under 6 years old referring to health centers in Azna city
Design
The study population was 100 mothers with children under 6 years of age, which was randomly assigned to 50 in the intervention group and 50 in the control group.
Settings and conduct
This study is conducted in Azna city for the education of mothers with children under 6 years old. In this study, it is a randomized controlled trial that is randomly selected and placed in intervention and control groups.
Participants/Inclusion and exclusion criteria
Mothers with children under the age of 6 who wish to participate in the research are covered by health centers.
Mothers who are literate (at least 5 years of schooling).
Intervention groups
Necessary and determined trainings, including continuous training seminars in two 60-minute sessions and presentation of training booklets and pamphlets for the intervention group, and then in a test that will be conducted 3 months later with the distribution of questionnaires, the level of the two groups in terms of the defined variables is compared.
Main outcome variables
The main consequence variable is the timely delivery of first aid by the mother to the child in the event of an accident.

Description
In this study, the test group received the designed educational intervention. The trainings were conducted by researchers in training sessions for the intervention group using the methods of lectures, group discussions, giving educational booklets and pamphlets regarding the factors and complications of accidents and incidents in children. In this regard, in order to improve and speed up education, posters, pamphlets, and educational CDs on how to perform first aid in simple language for mothers were used; Also, in order to better educate and educate mothers, following the prevailing health protocols in health centers, and based on child care booklets regarding accidents and incidents, practical parts of the training were provided in person.
