Design

The present design is a randomized, single-blinded, sham-controlled intervention study at 40 healthy young adults.

Settings and conduct

Before and after applying any type of stimulation, the performance of individuals while performing a human-robot interactive task will be evaluated and the individuals' performance indicators will be recorded. The changes in these indicators in the post-test compared to the pre-test between the groups receiving the real and sham stimulation will be compared to determine the effects of transcranial Direct Current Stimulation
During the sessions, subjects are unaware of the type of received stimulation.
The study will be performed at IUMS.

Participants/Inclusion and exclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria :
Age 20 to 35 years old, Right-handed, Non-smoker, Normal vision, No alcohol and drugs use during the last three months so far or caffeine in the previous 3 hours, Enough sleep in the last 12 hours
Exclusion criteria :
Suffering from skin diseases or other diseases, History of severe head injury, seizures, fainting, epilepsy, migraine, brain trauma or a neurosurgical brain intervention, High blood pressure, Use of any metal objects implanted in the brain or having a tattoos or non-removable metal around the head, Having a pacemakers or centrally acting drugs, Pregnancy or breastfeeding

Intervention groups

Twenty subjects will receive real stimulation and twenty others will receive sham stimulation

Main outcome variables

The correct performing number of human-robot interactive task, the total number of errors while performing the tasks
