Evaluation the effectiveness of the interpersonal psychotherapy in reducing of perfectionism
Design
Randomisation clinical trial with experimental and control group double blinded on 30 participants will be done.
Settings and conduct
This study is conducted in the psychiatric clinic of the Faculty of Behavioral Sciences and Mental Health, Iran University of Medical Sciences.
For the experimental group, psychotherapy interventions are conducted in the form of individual sessions to reduce the intensity of perfectionism for 20 of 45 minutes.
The control group is on the waiting list. At the end of the study, in order to comply with research ethics, group therapy sessions will be conducted for the waiting group for 16 sessions.
Random cursing will be done by the research team. The participants, the assessor, the data analyst and the monitoring committee will be blinded to the study.
Participants/Inclusion and exclusion criteria
Entry conditions: Having Perfectionism traits based on Perfectionism scale and study at the Iran University of Medical Sciences.
Exit conditions: Having severe psychiatry diagnosis like Psychosis, Major depression and Drug dependency
Intervention groups

Main outcome variables
The main outcome of this study is the reduction of the perfectionism trait based on perfectionism scales in participants.

Randomization description
Simple randomisation with random number table would be done. The direction of reading numbers will be from the top to the bottom of the table. Even numbers will be chosen for the intervention group and odd numbers for the experimental group. Then the researcher moves on the numbers and records the numbers and assigns them to different groups. Cards and sealed envelopes with a random sequence will be used for allocation concealment.

Description
Intervention group: Short-term interpersonal analytical psychotherapy interventions will be conducted on this group in the form of 20 individual sessions once a week for 45 minutes.
