The Effect of Training of Nurses and Mothers on The positioning of Premature Babies
Design
This is a randomized clinical trial without a control parallel group was conducted in three stages before and one week and one month later. The samples including all ward nurses (36 people), mothers (9 people) and hospitalized premature babies (9 people) were randomly selected based on the software. In this way, each baby was observed three times a day for three consecutive days and in total 72 observations were recorded in stage 1 and 2 and 63 in stage 3.
Sampling in the neonatal intensive care unit of Shahid Sadoughi Hospital lasted from 12/05/2022 to the end of 24/07/2022.
Settings and conduct
This research was carried out in the neonatal intensive care unit of Shahid Sadoughi Hospital in Yazd
Participants/Inclusion and exclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: infants with a gestational age of 26-33 weeks, mothers with being literate in reading and writing, and not participating in similar programs, Exclusion criteria: infants taking painkillers and sleeping pills, having grade 2 and higher intraventricular hemorrhages, having neuromuscular defects, and mothers with addictions and mental illnesses. Drug use, inability to cooperate.
Intervention groups
Training sessions were held for nurses and mothers during one week. After the completion of the theory sessions, a practical session (for two hours) was held by the researchers.
then, the training of the mothers was carried out . In addition to the theoretical and practical training provided, posters related to positioning were designed by the researchers .

Exclusion criteria:
Babies taking painkillers and sleeping pills, babies with grade 2 and higher intraventricular hemorrhages, babies with congenital abnormalities in the abdomen or spine, babies with neuromuscular defects were excluded from the study.Mothers with addictions, confirmed mental illnesses taking medication , inability to cooperate were excluded.

Description
Intervention group: Training sessions were held for nurses and mothers during one week. The training of nurses included theoretical and practical sessions. Each theory session was held through lectures, slide shows, film screenings and the use of baby mollage for positioning for four hours (from 8:00 AM to 12:00 AM). In order for all nurses to participate, nurses were divided into four groups and for Each group was presented with separate theory sessions. After the completion of the theory sessions, for each group of nurses, a practical session (for two hours) was held by the researcher inside the neonatal intensive care unit in order to observe and practice the positioning in practice. After the training of the nurses, the training of the mothers also It was planned and carried out by another researcher of the research team. In this way, the training of mothers was done in two educational groups and for each group, including a theory session (from 8 to 10) with simple and understandable language along with questions and answers to their questions, and after the completion of the theory session, a session A two-hour practice was held in the ward and on the baby's bed. The education of mothers was similar to that of nurses through lectures, slide shows, movies and using baby mollage for positioning. In addition to the theoretical and practical training provided, the posters related to positioning were designed by the researchers and based on the opinion of the head of the department and the head of the department, they were installed in different parts of the department to be visible to mothers and nurses.
