Determining the effect of video training on the degree of adherence to positioning standards by operating room personnel
Design
A single-blind randomized controlled clinical trial, parallel groups, 62 participants
randomization:
Numbers one and two are written on sheets of paper and placed inside white envelopes, and the people randomly choose an envelope. With the envelope containing sheet number one, the person is allocated to the intervention group, and with the envelope containing sheet number two, the person is allocated to the control group.
Settings and conduct
Individuals are selected by the availability sampling method and randomized into control or intervention groups. All matters related to registration, randomization and allocation to intervention will be done by the researcher. In all three shifts, and the neurosurgery and gynecology operation rooms, the demographic questionnaire and the desired checklist are completed. The intervention group receives video training for 1 month. Subjects are told not to discuss the checklist and training with their colleagues. The validity and reliability of the checklist are confirmed based on the standards of the Association of Surgical Technicians.
Participants/Inclusion and exclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: having an operating room associate's degree, working in the desired departments, and not passing the relevant training courses
Exclusion criteria: attending more than two training sessions
Intervention groups
62 people will participate in this study. 31 individuals are given video training at least 3 times a week. 31 people receive no intervention.
Main outcome variables
Comparison of the mean score of adherence to positioning standards, before and after training in the operating rooms of the educational therapeutic hospitals of Kermanshah University of Medical Sciences

Randomization description

Description
Intervention group: For the intervention group, training clips on positioning in the operating room and how to use the operating room bed, prepared by the researcher from reliable sources and approved by the professors of the department, in the communication software that can be used by the participants (ie email, Soroush, Eitaa messenger, Telegram, EMO, etc.) are sent and they are told to watch the clips at least 3 times a week. Considering that people may work in the same hospital and operating room as the control group, they will be told not to talk about the checklist and training with their colleagues. After completing the training, which has been a month, the researcher will visit the operating rooms again and fill in the desired checklist.
