This study will investigates the effect of aerobic exercise on quality of life in 60-75 years old residents of geriatric homes, Ahwaz, Iran 1389.
In this study SF36 questionnaire is administrated to a sample of 50 residents of geriatric homes. This sample are randomly allocated to two groups: the experimental group (n=25) and control group (n=25). The members of experimental group will receive exercise for 8 weeks (three sessions per week). Quality of life will measure in both groups before and after intervention.

Purpose

Inclusion/Exclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 60-75 years old; not having any exercise program but having physically activities of daily living independently. Exclusion criteria: neurological disorder (paresis, strok, Parkinson’s disorder); acute heart impairment (hyper tension, congestive heart failure); unstable chronic illness (diabetes mellitus, malignancies, sever muscle- skeletal impairment); inability to participate in the programs.

Description
The exercises included a 5-10 minute circulatory warm up, cline walking test (one mile walking) and a 5-10 minute cool down period. The exercise were under supervision of an experienced instructor. No exercise program was prescribed for the control group.
