Comparison of personality traits and emotional expression between parents of autistic children and parents of normal children and the relationship between parents' personality traits and severity of symptoms
Investigating the existence of personality disorder or emotional problems in parents of autistic children and the effect of these cases on the severity of symptoms in their children
Design
The clinical trial has an intervention group and a control group with 60 people in each group as a sampling available in treatment clinics and groups related to autistic people.
Questionnaires are distributed in these groups and drug intervention is not performed.
Settings and conduct
A questionnaire assessment including the Minnesota Multifaceted Personality Test, Emotional Expression Test and Gilliam's Test for parents of autistic children in both paper and online forms and the Minnesota Multifaceted Personality Test and Emotional Expressiveness Test for parents of children with normal development in the form of a written and online questionnaire. . The place of testing is in the clinics related to the Iranian Autism Association and Dr. Rivandi's speech therapy clinic and in the homes of these people in Tehran.
Participants/Inclusion and exclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Parents of autistic children and parents of normal children/ having a child with autism disorder and having a normal child without any psychological disprder.
Regardless of the gender restrictions of parents and children
exclusion criteria: having a child over 15 years old for both intervention and control groups
