Protocol summary

Study aim
Investigating the effect of local injection of serum derived from umbilical cord blood compared to local injection of autologous platelet-rich plasma (PRP) in the treatment of stretch marks
Design
A clinical trial with a control group, with 3 groups of 10 people, double-blind, randomized, phase 2 on 30 patients. A simple randomization method was used for randomization.
Settings and conduct
One-to-one intradermal injection with a volume of 1ml in the arm area in Skin and Hair Research Center,Tehran University of Medical Sciences
Participants/Inclusion and exclusion criteria
Inclusion Criteria: Age 50-18 years; Full consent of the patient to participate in the project; Having striae of type alba (with all three grades from mild to severe); Exclusion criteria: Inflammatory acne; Active herpes labialis; Infection in the treatment area; keloid; malignancy; Pregnancy; Breastfeeding; Immunosuppression; Use of local and systemic steroids; Systemic diseases (Such as high blood pressure; Diabetes; Heart disease; Cancer; Kidney and Liver)
Intervention groups
Patients are divided into 3 groups. The first group was treated with cord blood serum with a concentration of 2%, the second group with cord blood serum with a concentration of 5% and the third group with cord blood serum with a concentration of 10%, in groups 1, 2 and 3 patients for 4 sessions with intervals of 2 weeks to The injection is done in the right arm of the areas with stretch marks and the PRP injection is done in the left arm with stretch marks. The injection of each of the study groups will be done in the next dose after 4 weeks if there are no side effects in the first dose.
Main outcome variables
Variable name; Tested groups; Type of treatment; Complications of treatment; Recovery rate; recovery time; sex; Age; Patient satisfaction; The amount of skin collagen; Thickness of epidermis and dermis
