The purpose of this study was to compare the efficacy of face to face teaching method and educational pamphlet on knowledge and compliance of patients undergoing hemodialysis.The participants will be selected using convenience sampling method and randomly divided into three groups: face to face education, educational booklets and control groups. First, the participants’ knowledge and medication adherence level will be determined using the questionnaire. After starting hemodialysis the first intervention group will receive two 20-minute face to face training sessions during hemodialysis. The second group will receive educational booklets containing material taught in the first group while the participants in the third one will receive routine nursing care of the unit. Participants’ knowledge and medication adherence will be reassessed one month after intervention.
