Determining and comparing the effect of cardiopulmonary resuscitation training in a structured and structured group method on the knowledge, and skills of Red Crescent volunteers

The study will be a semi-experimental intervention type. The current research will include two intervention groups of cardiopulmonary resuscitation training in a demonstrative and structured group method. In this research, random number table will be used. Using the purposeful sampling method, 72 people will be selected.

This is a semi-experimental research that will be conducted as a parallel intervention on Red Crescent volunteers of Abarkouh city in 2024. No blinding was used.

The research community will include all volunteers who will volunteer in the Red Crescent of Abarkouh in the summer of 2023. Inclusion criteria: Membership in the Red Crescent population and willingness to participate in the study, Lack of employment in the field of nursing and emergency medicine, Minimum education of the ninth grade Exclusion criteria: participation in similar educational programs, work experience in the field of cardiopulmonary resuscitation

Training in a structured group method consists of 6 stages, which are: the first stage (overview), the second stage (silent demonstrations), the third stage (show with comments), the fourth stage (oral), the fifth stage (practice), the sixth stage ( group exercise). The duration of the training is expected to last about 60 minutes, and students will be given the opportunity to exchange ideas and practice in small groups for up to 60 minutes. In the demonstration training, people are divided into groups of 18 people and the same material presented in the structured group method is taught by the instructor on the mannequin in a 60-minute session.

Randomization was done using random sequence generation (random number table type). A table of random numbers is a collection of numbers that are generated completely randomly without a specific pattern or order, which is in the form of a table. In order to use the table of random numbers, the researcher must first determine the direction of reading the table numbers (for example, up, down, left and right), the second assumption of the researcher is to consider the numbers for different groups (even numbers for the group A, and odd numbers for group B). Then the researcher puts his hand on one of the numbers and moves in one of the predetermined directions and records the numbers and assigns them to different groups.
