General Goal:The effect of prenatal care education at home on empowerment and breast feeding self efficacy of Primigravida Women Referred to Health Centers Affiliated to Shiraz University of Medical Science 2014-2015.
Inclusion criteria:The two groups during the study period are Shiraz; Pregnant women in their last trimester of pregnancy; Pregnant women should be primigravida.
Exclusion criteria:The mother's mental or physical illness; Moved from Shiraz.
Sample size: with regard to the Alpha .05 and be equal to 80% of the difference between 5.1 and 7 standard deviation equal to at least 30 person in each group will be determined by the rate of loss 20% of least 35 person in each group will be increased.
After referring to Valfajr , Enghelab health centers , 10 centers were selected randomly (7 people from each center).Informed consent and Demographic questionnaire and exact Address & telephone number was taken also.According to 4 gradal-blocky method, they were divided to control & intervention groups. Organized training program included 3 education sessions about how to care in last 3 month pregnancy period and post partum dates(in 1, 2, 6 post partum weeks) in the intervention group houses.breast feeding self-efficacy questionnaire and mothers empowerment were completed in interventional and control group(after 1, 2, 6 post partum weeks). primary out come: increased awareness of mothers about prenatal & post partum care.
