Objective: This study will be conducted to evaluate the effectiveness of painting therapy on decreasing aggression in mental retarded children. Method and Material: The present study is quasi-experimental in a form of pre and post study with control group. Study population will be included all primary school mental-retarded students who are studying in the special-aided schools in 2013-2014 school years in Bojnord, Northeast of Iran. Twenty subjects will be selected via stratified sampling technique. They are divided into two groups with 10 cases and aggregation pre test will be determined by Rutter questionnaire-A (teacher's form), and Goodenough draw a person test. Then half of the patients in each group will be considered randomly as intervention and the other ones as control group. For the children in intervention group, the Goodenough draw a person test will be used. So the painting therapy sessions are considered by preparation the paper and seven colored pencil (violet, black, green, yellow, brown and red) to the child. Then the aggregation will be determined by Rutter questionnaire-A (teacher's form) for intervention and control group after the end of two months.
