IRCT20180714040466N4 IRCT 2021-10-23 Zahedan University of Medical Sciences Comparison of neurodynamic technique and the air compression massage therapy on parameters of median nerve in patients with carpal tunnel syndrome سندروم تونل کارپال cts Comparison of neurodynamic technique and the air compression massage therapy on sensory and motor parameters of median nerve in patients with mild to moderate carpal tunnel syndrome 2021-06-22 anticipated 30 Complete https://irct.ir/trial/56759 interventional Randomization: Randomized, Blinding: Not blinded, Placebo: Not used, Assignment: Single, Purpose: Treatment, Randomization description: Based on the number of patients in each group,the particular sort of treatment( Neurodynamic Techniques group or Air compression massage group) is written on a piece of paper.Each paper is placed in a sealed envelope.One envelope will be chosen randomly by the therapist at the first session of the patient treatment and the patient's treatment technique is selected based on that.If any of the patients is omitted from the study, one envelope related to the excluded patient treatment group will be replaced and they will mixed again. 3 Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. Intervention 1: Control group: Neurodynamic technique.ULTT2a neurodynamic technique will be performed for 3 weeks. ULTT2a steps include: (1) shoulder girdle depression (2) shoulder abduction (3) external shoulder rotation and forearm supination (4) finger and wrist extension (5) elbow extension . The technique is in 5 separate sets and each set contains 10 repetitions that will be done every other day. Intervention 2: Intervention group: Air compression massage. In this group, the WIC2008 compression device will be used for treatment. While the person is sitting, the person's arm will be fully supported on the armrest in a completely relaxed position, the affected limb will be completely inside the device pad, adjusted alternately with a maximum pressure of 120 mm Hg and a minimum pressure of 0 mm Hg. The filling time of the device is 3 seconds and its discharge time is 12 seconds and the treatment lasts for ten minutes. The treatment will be done for three weeks and one day in between.
