Postpartum period is one of the vital stages in the women’s life which influence their quality of life. Home visit through the provision of facilities of daily care at home is possible factors influencing on the quality of life. This study aimed to determine the effect of educational program of home visit at the first six weeks post-delivery on the quality of life of primipara womem.
This research was a semi-experimental study. The samples consisted of 52 primipara women who live in Shiraz and had healthy delivery. they were randomly allocated to the two groups. Home visit was carried out for the experimental group for six weeks during 4 educational sessions. The control group received routine cares of health centers. Specific Postnatal Quality of life questionnaire was used. Quality of life of women in two groups was compared at the first and sixth weeks. Data were analyzed by Chi-square and t-test.
The results indicated that home visit has influenced on improvement of the quality of life of primiPara women. Therefore, health care providers should focus on this important issue.

Inclusion/Exclusion criteria
The inclusion criteria were women who delivered a healthy newborn whether by vaginal delivery or Cesarean section lived in Shiraz, and were available for the follow- up for the coming 6 weeks. Women who delivered prematurely or delivered babies with low birth weight (< 2.500 g) or with apparent congenital anomalies were excluded from the study
