AIM Study: This study was aimed at investigating the impact of family training on reduced symptoms of the children with Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder.
Key criteria: Attention deficit hyperactivity children were 6-12 age range that were treated with 10-20 ml grams Ritalin standard for three month before and did not have Co-morbidity disorder ; their parents had ability read and write also children and their parents did not have psychosis symptoms and substance dependency and did not enter at least one session class .
Samples study were sixty two parents of children 6-12 age with a principal diagnosis of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder , being treated by child and adolescent psychiatrist in three months before with Ritalin Standard drug 10-20 ml grams. Parents were randomly assigned to the intervention group (who participated in an 5 session group parental training timely in 90 minutes N=31) and a control group (N=31). Before the intervention controlled age ,sex, ordering of birth , graduates ,and parents ages in both group therefore difference between two group were not significant, then, participants in two groups were tested with Conners' Parent Rating Scale-Revised, pretest and posttest in immediately, one and three months later . program of intervention that run for the participant of experimental group had five sessions, of ninety minutes.

Description
Children intervention group treated with Ritalin standard drug with 20-30 mg oral daily in 3 month before and then parental management training in five session (90 minute) .Sessions included:
Session 1: Self-introduction to parents , providing the parents with explanations about goals of the sessions ,and presenting the questionnaire Conners' Parent Rating Scale-Revised (CPRS-R) .Providing proper understanding of ADHD (in this session, parents are offered full explanations about ADHD (according to DSM-IV).
What is the treatment for this disorder? Pharmacotherapy, individual psychotherapies (behavioral and
cognitive-behavioral), and family training.
Session 2 : Techniques for Managing and Controlling Children's' Behavior: Increasing parents' attention to children's positive behaviors through parents' use of positive reinforcement; overlooking inappropriate, non-harmful behavior.
Session 3: Training the parents on [1] how to express what the child has done, [2] how to express only one rational, clear and understandable demand for the child, and [3] quickly satisfying the demand for the child.
Session 4: Adopting the method of behavior cost and deprivation method
Session 5: Generalizing management skills to other places and dealing with disobediences
