chronic self-destructiveness includes behaviors that person has a general tendency to act operations in which chance of following negative affects increases or chance of benefiting from positive effects decreases in the future. These behaviors are neglected because of being intangible and assuming as normal tasks. They are meaningfully connected with suicide attempts. High amount of adolescents who have attempted suicide and growing trend of that indicates the necessity of Preventive actions. Aim of this study is to analyze influence of parents’ psycho-education on amount of chronic self-destructive behaviors of adolescents. In this study, effect of psycho-education of parents as an independent variable on amount of chronic self-destructive behaviors in adolescents attempting suicide will be analyzed using the intervention and control group. Sixty referring families to the medical centers having a child between 12 and 17 years old who have attempted suicide-without psychotic modes will be randomly allocated to two groups for participating in the study. Participants of intervention group will take part in the psycho education sessions and all participants will be evaluated with SDQ and CSDS questionnaires in pretest, post-test situations and also three months after the final session for following the results.

Inclusion/Exclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: personal tendency for collaboration in the study and evaluation completion up to the end of study; commiting suicide in the last six months; being in the range of minimum 12 years and maximum 17 years old; having at least six successive educational levels (of literacy) for the participant at sessions.
Exclusion criteria: unwillingness of person for collaboration in the study; absence during the sessions; existence of psychotic moods.
