Objective: The Effect of liaison nurse roles on anxiety due to patients transferring from ICU to general wards.This is a semi experimental study with a control group. The random sampling method will be independent of the control group.
The research environment: ICU and general wards in hospitals of Iran University of Medical Sciences. In this design, each patient in the experimental group at least three times by the liaison nurse at intervals up to 24 hours before the transfer, 4 and 24 hours after the transfer of business will be conducted and appropriate interventions and anxiety were recorded. Spielberger Anxiety Inventory by patients before and 24 hours after the transfer and anxiety visual analog scale (VAS_A) in 3 innings before being transferred, 4 and 24 hours after the transfer will be filled

Interventions explanation about the cause of transmission, number of employees and facilities in the part of the patient and his family, since his knowledge of the transmission and the emotional support of patients during hospitalization, the patient in the process of explaining to the nurse clerk receiving general. The number liaison nurse the patients will be tested and if need be in contact with him.

Ordered the transfer to the public sector, older than 18 years; willingness to participate in research, the ability to communicate by word, first admitted to the intensive care unit at least 24 hours hospitalized in the intensive care unit is no history of mental illness incurable and known mental illness before admission to intensive care, ability to read and write; lack of hearing and visual impairment, patients at 1 to 3 (triage) ICU

Description
The purpose of this research intervention of liaison nurse and actions that will be carried out by him.
Interventions include: "The study of patient records in starting the intervention, explaining the reason for the transfer, the number of employees and facilities in ward to the patient and his family,emotional support of patients from time inform him of the transfer and during hospitalization ,explain to the nurse in charge of patient care in ward about process conducted in the intensive care unit and patient care needs, review of drugs that the in the ward is receiving (It should be noted that the liaison nurse, before transferring patient records will fully review)
Meeting patient in ward explaining the current situation and progress made by the liaison nurse in the ward to patient and family will be carried out.
