Protocol summary

Summary
The purpose of the present study is to determine the effect of Functional Analytic Psychotherapy on life quality and self-esteem of prostitutes. The inclusion criteria are being prostitute; no other psychological interventions; not using psychiatry medicines; not addicted 5- guidance school and higher grade; be in 20-40 years old range and exclusion criteria include clients dissatisfaction to continue and irregular presence in psychotherapy sessions. The statistical population is women prostitutes reffered to prostitutes councelling centers in Isfahan city and sample size is 2. The primary outcome of this study is quality of life and self-esteem of prostitutes. Quality of life SF-36 questionnaire and Coopersmith self-esteem inventory are used to collect data prior to intervention in sessions of 1, 2 and 3(baseline). Then the intervention starts which is consisted of 16 sessions of Functional Analytic Psychotherapy twice a week and primary outcomes are assessed in sessions of 6, 9, 12, 15 and 18. Finally, in two follow-up ,which are applied 15 days and one month after last session of intervention, primary outcomes are assessed
