The aim of this study is to determine the effectiveness of short-term psychosocial therapy on sexual desire and marital satisfaction in women with depression. This clinical trial study with control group will be conducted on women referred to marital medicine clinic of Imam Reza Hospital in Kermanshah City, who have been diagnosed with sexual dysfunction and have conditions to enter the study. At first, the samples will be pre-tested and the extent of sexual dysfunction, sexual satisfaction and depression will be measured using Beck Depression, Enrich Marital Satisfaction and Evaluating Sexual Function questionnaires. All the participants are placed in the control group and experimental group based on odd and even numbers respectively. Then the therapy will be taken based on intensive short-term dynamic psychotherapy (ISTDP) by a clinical psychologist with a valid certificate of a short-term psycho-therapeutic course from New Design Institute twice a week in ten 10-minute sessions at marital medicine clinic. After each session, the researcher will review the content of the session and examine the extent of matching and synchronization of the strategies and procedures used in therapy with the therapy protocol. As well as sessions of therapy will be selected randomly and evaluated by the colleagues.
