Title: impact of spiritual care on spiritual and mental health of elderly residents of Kahrizak nursing home in 2015.
Objectives: the aim of this study was to determine and compare spiritual health and mental health of elderly residents of Kahrizak nursing home before and after of spiritual care in three groups in 2015.
Method: this study is a clinical trial, with three groups of first, second and control that 135 elders living at home in their company. Inclusion criteria: age over 60 years old hospitalized for more than three months; having cognitive health; lack of developing Alzheimer's disease; speak and understand language is Farsi and would like to participate in the study and exclusion criteria: leave more than a week; the risk of serious health conditions resulting in the transfer of the patient, it is. Eligible patients in three groups of 45 subjects (first intervention, second intervention and control group) were, and for the first group interventions on a daily basis for 3 months of intervention was instilling hope and active listening and to intervene second group reminiscence therapy, poetry therapy was 13 weekly sessions memory. The control group received no intervention. Patients in all three groups before and after intervention, fill the spiritual health of Jarel and GHQ-28 questionnaires.

Inclusion/Exclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: aged 60 years old and older hospitalized elderly Kahrizak Charity Hospice, Tehran, Iran; the minimum length of stay of patients in the past 3 months; good mental health (score greater than 7 brief survey of psychological tests AMT); clients with Alzheimer's disease is not (according to diagnosis recorded in the records of patients); person interested and have the desire to participate in the study; clients with serious health conditions that cause their transfer to the intensive care unit will be missed; during research client not leave temporary more than one week; during study patient do not take part at the same time in other experimental research; the patient is able to speak and understand the Farsi language; patient hearing and vision is such that the aids is able to communicate with others and participate in meetings. Exclusion criteria: temporary leaving the center more than one week during the intervention; impaired psychological condition; reluctance of clients to continue to participate in the study; acute physical illnesses that lead to the transfer of the patient to the intensive care unit or hospital.
