The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of spiritual nursing interventions on spiritual health among cancer patients. Seventy cancer patients were selected through a non-randomized sampling method and entered the study. Then they were randomly assigned with coin (heads or tails) to the test group (heads) and control ( tails).
Inclusion criteria: diagnosing cancer based on laboratory evidence and pathologist confirmation; Being Muslim and Shia; Physical ability to attend, implement and follow the plan (not a very old age); the patient should be aware of the diagnosis of cancer. Exclusion criteria: Immigration or death of the patient during the study. The package of spiritual nursing interventions was provided and explained by the researcher for the intervention group. The contents of the package were explained in 6 sessions of 90 minutes. Meetings were organized in groups of 5 people at the prayer room of the hospital which had an appropriate space and was equipped with educational equipment. A week after the last meeting, spiritual health will be assessed and compared between two groups.

Description
Inclusion group: For this group, the content of the spiritual nursing interventions package was presented in 6 sessions of 90 minutes. Meetings were organized in groups of 5 people at the prayer room of the hospital which had an appropriate space and was equipped with educational equipment. First session consisted of introducing the researcher and familiarizing with patients and explaining the overall purpose of the research. Next sessions included providing a decent environment by installing beautiful nature holy places images and talking with the patient, Providing verbal and non-verbal communication, focusing on patient's words, giving feedback, creating and developing trust, designing patient's spiritual concerns by asking questions such as "How does spiritual belief affect your health decisions?" and " Whom do you rely on in the hardships and problems? Considering the spiritual behaviors of a patient, such as praying or reading Quran, and using adaptation strategies such as praise and invocations .In order to respect the spiritual believes of the patient, he/she was encouraged and protected to use spiritual resources ; express family-related problems; promote family relationships and the researcher tried to provide responses to patient's concerns and complaints. The presence of a religious specialist in the department is necessary to talk with patients about other interventions.
