Effect of Group Therapy on Social Participation of retired teachers and retired employees of Ministry of Education
Design
In this study, 50 retired teachers and retired employees of Ministry of Education who come to the retirement center are selected. Participants are randomly divided into intervention and control groups and each participant is assigned a code.
Settings and conduct
The method of this research is a two-group clinical trial. The subjects were retired teachers and retired employees of Ministry of Education who were members of the Education Retirement Club, which were divided into two groups of control and intervention and the sample size was estimated to be 50.
Participants/Inclusion and exclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria :
1. Lack of history of diseases associated with depression and cognitive problems
2. Age range 80-60
3. Satisfaction and willingness to participate in research
4. Not using other psychological treatment 6 months before entering the research
Exit criteria:
1. Dissatisfaction with the continued participation in the study
2-foot retired person
3. Having an acute illness and becoming hospitalized during the intervention
4- Absence of elderly for 2 sessions
Intervention groups
The intervention is a group of grouped semantic research that is conducted in groups of 25 retired, one leader, and one leader's assistance. The duration of the intervention is eight weeks, with a 90-minute session per week. In order to hold these sessions at the same hour as we are discussing meaning therapy in Room 1 in Room 2, the control group deals with everyday issues.
Each session discusses a topic of meaning such as freedom, acceptance of responsibility, anxiety, meaning through the creation of values, accepting responsibility for change, self-supporting, etc. by the researcher. Participants in the intervention group are asked to discuss the issues outside of the session. There is no intervention for the control group. After completion of the post-test sessions, the social partnership score will be calculated
