Determining the effect of pre-marriage education on marriage expectation in single student
Design
This study is done on 140 students in two groups of control (70 people) and intervention (70 people) without randomization and blindness. The study population is selected by multi-stage sampling.
Settings and conduct
This study will be conducted on students of universities in Gonabad city (one of the cities of the south of Khorasan Razavi province) by multi-stage sampling. Using a standard questionnaire, a pretest test will be performed in the intervention and control groups. The intervention included a training program that manner of the lecture, small group discussion, questions and answers, and learning activities will be implemented for the experimental group.
Participants/Inclusion and exclusion criteria
The inclusion criteria: Participants in the study are the student in the city of Gonabad, participants in the study are single, willingness to participate in the study. The exclusion criteria: Student is the first and the last term.
Intervention groups
Intervention group: Before the intervention, the pre-test is performed and then an educational program will be implemented in the form of lectures, discussions in small groups, questions and answers, and learning activities. The duration of the training period will be 10 sessions of 90 minutes for a maximum of 2 months. The effectiveness of intervention 6 months after the intervention will be assessed through a questionnaire.
Control group: This group will be evaluated before, after and 6 months after intervention. There will be no intervention program for this group.

Description
Intervention group: The intervention involves an educational program that will be run in a lecture, a discussion in small groups, questions and answers, and learning activities. The duration of the training period will be 10 sessions of 90 minutes for students in the intervention group for a maximum of 2 months. Session 1: There will be some explanations about the need for premarital education. Second session: Explaining whether marriage is easy and the right and wrong reasons for marriage. Session 3: During this session, topics such as familiarity, ten mistakes in the familiarization process, advantages and limitations of the familiarization course will be considered. Session Four: In this session, explanations about love and marriage, triangular theory of love, types of love, characteristics of the loved one will be made. Session 5: This session will discuss issues such as the criteria for selecting a spouse, those who are not suitable for marriage. Session Six: During this meeting, people will become familiar with some important concepts in marriage (commitment, understanding, intimacy). The effectiveness of intervention 6 months after the intervention will be assessed through a questionnaire.
