Determination of effect of communication skills training based on Calgary-cambridge model on communicational function and work engagement in Midwives working in educational and medical centers of Iran University of Medical Sciences
Design
Semi-experimental clinical classes with control group, with parallel groups, not blinded, nonrandomized on 70 midwives, but hospital selection as an intervention and control groups was randomized and with drawing help.
Settings and conduct
Firozabady hospital as an intervention group and Akbarabadi hospital as an control group randomly selected with drawing help. 35 midwives with available sampling are in intervention group and 35 midwives are in control group. in intervention group communication skills training will be given in eight skype sessions and in control group do given any training. wok engagement questionnaire and calgary-cambridge checklist will be completed Before, after and one month after intervention and results will be analyzed with spss16.
Participants/Inclusion and exclusion criteria
Entrance: Having at list associate degree in midwifery, Having at list one year of work experience, Not participation in workshop related to communication skills training Exit: Reluctance to participate in further research
Intervention groups
Intervention group is 35 midwives of Firozabady hospital , which training communication skills to them and control group is 35 midwives of Akbarabady hospital that has no intervention in them.
