Objectives: to determine the effect of an educational program using group discussion on the perceived stigma of family caregivers of persons with Alzheimer disease.
Study Design: non randomized clinical trial; research environment: Iran alzheimers association.
Family caregivers of persons with Alzheimer's disease will be studied. Inclusion criteria: caregivers of people with Alzheimer's and their close family members to care for them permanently; lack of hearing impairment; the ability to understand the reading curriculum. Exclusion criteria: unwillingness to continue cooperation; death of persons with Alzheimer disease; change primary caregiver for person with Alzheimer's disease. Sample size: 66 persons. Intervention: educational program using group discussion-Weekly for 4 sessions.
