T he effectiveness of the participation promotion program based on self-efficacy theory on the level of loneliness and social activities of the elderly villagers in the city of Beyza in 2017
The educational program of social participation, based on self-efficacy theory, is a framework for educational intervention in order to anticipate, improve and recover the behaviors related to loneliness feeling among old people. Material and methods: this is a quasi-experimental study with control group. The intervention was conducted among 240 sixty year-old people or elder than this. The scales of the study consisted of Canadian Community Health Survey (CCHS) and Social Participation questionnaire(UCLA), which the latter one, was based on self-efficacy and made by Rassel et al. The educational intervention was done during five weeks. The interval between pre and post tests was nine weeks as well. The data was analyzed by SPSS (version 19).

Inclusion/Exclusion criteria
The inclusion criteria: having the ability of talking Persian language; hearing power; lacking acute physical and motor diseases especially in walking; having health chart in the health centers; being sixty years old and over it and signing informed consent for participating in the study.Exclusion criteria: tendency to quit the participation; being absent in more than one session; having experience of grief caused by their relatives death and losing their job within the intervention episode.
