The Effect Of Narrative Writing On Moral Disteress Among Nurses Staffs Of Intensive Care Units Affliated To Teaching Hospital Of Golestan University Medical Science In 2015
The aim of this research is study the effect of narrative writing on moral distress among nurses staff of intensive care units of Golestan University of Medical Sciences.
This is a double blinded clinical trail with before and after groups. One hundred and twenty nurses of intensive care unites of teaching hospitals affiliated to Golestan University of Medical Services will participate in the study. Inclusion criteria are at least six months work experience in intensive care unit, having bachelor or master degree in nursing. The nurses will invite to attend in a orientation meeting to be informed about the process of research work. The data will collected with moral distress questionnaire before intervention, after one month narrative writing and also for third time at the end of study.

Inclusion criteria : At least six months experience in the intensive care unit ; Bachelor or Master Degree in Nursing ; Absence of acute stress problem in the last six months ; Non-use of drugs associated with psychotic disorders in the past six months . exclusion criteria : Leave work to other parts of the intensive care unit ; The problem of acute stress (death of a spouse, father .....) during the study .

Intervention group: The participants will asked to write at least once a clinical narrative. They will receive a notebook which is designed for this purpose. They should write about their emotions, thoughts , the worse ethical experiences, the hard moments, the bad behaviors, clinical decisions, during clinical work in intensive care unit
