This experimental study was designed to examine effect of logo therapy on life expectancy of patients with AIDS who referred to counseling and behavioral disorders center of Guilan welfare positive club. Exclusion criteria included: age less than 18 and over than 50, at least educational level, without treating for depression. Schneider life expectancy questionnaire filled in by all 180 HIV patients, those with lower score randomly and equally divided into two groups. The intervention group participated in 10 sessions of logo therapy while comparison group did not receive any training. At the end of sessions both groups filled the same questionnaire again. The participants were compared with each other in terms of life expectancy score. Based on the results of the study, logo therapy is an effective and approved strategy for improving life expectancy in AIDS patients.
