This is an interventional single blind survey with control group aimed to determine the effect of group reflection on nurses' knowledge, attitude and practice about nursing ethical codes. The setting of the study is Ghaem hospital of Firooz Abad. 90 nurses will be divided into two control and intervention groups by simple random method. Inclusion criteria include: bachelor of nursing or higher degree؛ to have at least one month work experience؛ no participation in ethical code education courses and exclusion criteria includes: more than two sections absence in group reflection؛ no participation in pre-test or post-test.
The intervention is educating nursing ethical codes which presented by a 2-houre lecture for control group and four 2-houre group reflection sessions using scenarios for intervention group. Data are collected by demographic questionnaire, knowledge test, and nurses’ attitude and practice in ethical codes rating scales. Questionnaires will be completed by nurses before and one month after the last section of education. For each nurse, practice questionnaire is also completed by her head nurse. The average score of these two questionnaires consider as each person's practice score. The questionnaires will be distribute and collected at the post-test stage by a person out of main researchers (co-researcher) in order to making the research blind.Moreover, statistical analysis will be done by a person out of research team.
