Determining the effect of quality of life therapy on stress, psychological burden and family satisfaction of addicts referring to Zahedan Psychiatric Hospital in 2018

Design

In this study, 80 family caregivers of addicts referred to Zahedan Psychiatric Hospital who have entrance requirements are selected and divided into two groups of intervention and control in simple random order.

Settings and conduct

Both intervention and control groups performed pretest tests by completing psychological burden, stress and life satisfaction questionnaires. The intervention group will receive 7 sessions of quality of life therapy education based on the content specified in the hospital's educational class.

Participants/Inclusion and exclusion criteria

Career Entry Criteria:
A member of the family who has all the health, medical, care and support responsibilities of the patient, Having a minimum degree of guidance, Resident in Zahedan City, The carer is the only caregiver of a patient.
Addict entry criteria:
The primary and primary diagnosis of drug dependence, Absence of psychiatric disorders, Having a minimum age of 20 and a maximum of 50 years, Life in the family
Watch out for departure criteria:
An extreme incident one month before the time of the study, having acute psychological problems and addiction

Intervention groups

The intervention group will receive 7 sessions of quality of life therapy within one day, 90 minutes, and based on specified content. Four weeks after the end of the intervention, the post-test will be performed.
The control group does not receive counseling and training during this period. And the educational content will be provided to the family carers of the control group.
