The purpose of this study was to compare the effects of video podcasting and lecture on learning among midwifery students
Design
This is a randomized controlled crossover trial.all of 34 Five-semester baccalaureate midwifery students of a class ( with convenience sampling) will be randomized into two seventeen-person groups to receive education about gynecological diseases in two sessions.and with two method .
Settings and conduct
In this study 34 Five-semester baccalaureate midwifery students of a class in Guilan University of Medical Sciences, Rasht, Iran will be randomized into two seventeen-person groups to receive education about gynecological diseases in two sessions.In the first session, students in group A received educational materials through lecture, while their counterparts in group B receive the same materials through video podcasting. In the second session, held one week after the first session, students in group A receive educational materials through video podcasting, while their counterparts in group B receive the same materials through lecture.
Participants/Inclusion and exclusion criteria
Entry criteria:Be satisfied to participate in the study.
Attend both teaching sessions.Do not have disabilities or inability to use the computer.They have not previously passed the Gynecology course
Exclusion criteria:Lack of consent to participate in the study.Unable to attend both teaching sessions.Disability or inability to use the computer.They have already passed the Gynecology course
Intervention groups
Intervention group is a group that teaches video podcasting unlike usual teaching method.The control group is the group that teaches the usual teaching method, namely lecture.
