Protocol summary

Study aim
Determining the average score of critical thinking in the control group before and after the intervention according to demographic variables (age, gender, work experience, etc.)
Design
It is an intervention type study in which the number of samples are divided into two control and intervention groups based on simple randomization and using Randomize Allocation software. The study is conducted in two parallel groups without blinding. There is no trial phase in this study.
Settings and conduct
Emergency Department of Al-Zahra Medical Education Center (S) affiliated to Isfahan University of Medical Sciences, which is the largest educational, specialized and sub-specialized emergency department of Isfahan University of Medical Sciences. The number of nurses working in the emergency department is 120. The types of admitted patients include internal medicine, surgery, orthopedics, neurosurgery and other fields.. There is no blinding.
Participants/Inclusion and exclusion criteria
login Willingness to attend, having a bachelor's degree in nursing or higher, at least 6 months of work experience in the emergency department of Al-Zahra Hospital. departure Unwillingness, less than bachelor's degree, experience less than 6 months
Intervention groups
We have two study groups: 1: Control group (control): for this group, only questionnaires are completed between 0 and 1 (one month later). 2: Intervention group (examination): First, the research questionnaires are completed. Then, 90-minute educational classes with booklets and scenarios are distributed to them, and one month later and two months later, the questionnaires are completed again.

Randomization description
We use Randomization Allocation software and the site www.sealedenvelope.com/simple-randomiser/v1/lists. After entering the site, we select two groups and set the block size to 70, equal to the number of samples. We consider the whole sample as one block and set its length to 70 people and press the Run button. And people are randomly placed in one of two groups. So, block randomization method and its unit is individual.

This study examines the impact of critical thinking training on reducing the amount of lost nursing care, the selected research environment is one of the busiest emergency rooms in the province, where the amount of lost nursing care is due to several reasons stated in the proposal. It is a lot.

Description
The intervention group consisted of 35 people. Before the intervention, both research questionnaires are completed by them. Then, 90-minute training sessions are arranged for them in 5 sessions with the presence of experienced professors. One month after the intervention, the questionnaire will be completed again by the nurses, and booklets and podcasts will also be provided to them.
