Design
In this study, the permutation block method will be used to generate the sequence of random allocation of individuals to the study groups. The sequence of random allocation of individuals will be performed using Random Allocation Software and a random block size. The permutation block method is one of the random allocation methods in which each block is selected as large as the number of study groups.
Settings and conduct
The present study is designed using a clinical trial method. One of the comprehensive health service centers covered by Mashhad Health Center No. 1 that has a sufficient number of covered elderly people with active health care records will be selected as the sampling environment. .
Participants/Inclusion and exclusion criteria
Age over 65
Not participating in an educational program at the same time
Being literate,
Not having communication problems such as speech impairment or
Intervention groups
Intervention group:. This group will participate in written emotional disclosure sessions once a week for 4 weeks. The sessions include writing about the elderly person's deepest feelings and negative and positive experiences related to aging and psychological changes during aging.
Control group: In the control group, the center's routine activities will be carried out, including educational classes for the elderly held in groups and integrated care for the elderly, which includes examining the general health status of the elderly.
Main outcome variables
Loneliness: To measure loneliness, the Loneliness Questionnaire by Wongpakaran et al. will be used.
Death Anxiety: . The Death Anxiety Scale was developed to measure death anxiety.
