Design, evaluation, and implementation of a crisis management preparedness program for midwifery personnel in caring for pregnant women during epidemic crises
Providing a reproductive health care program for pregnant mothers during viral epidemics
Design
A randomized, single-blind, factorial, controlled clinical trial was conducted on all midwifery personnel of the intervention group health centers and 60 pregnant women referred to those centers.
Settings and conduct
Health centers in Isfahan will be divided into two intervention and control groups in each social class. The intervention group will receive a two-day workshop program and offline training for 3 months, and the perinatal care group will be provided according to national guidelines. Before and immediately after the workshop, and 3 months later, a researcher-made questionnaire, will be distributed between the two exposure and control groups and the effectiveness of the program will be examined. It should be noted that after the workshop, the training course effectiveness questionnaire will also be distributed and completed among the participating personnel. Also, a customer quality assessment questionnaire will be distributed and completed among all pregnant mothers referring to the exposure and control group centers to examine the effect of the intervention that has been carried out.
Participants/Inclusion and exclusion criteria
Midwifery personnel providing services to pregnant women
Pregnant women in the first and second trimester of pregnancy who are literate in using a smartphone
Intervention groups
Holding a crisis management training workshop for midwifery personnel providing services to pregnant women in the intervention group.
Sending offline crisis management training materials to pregnant women referring to the intervention group centers in addition to receiving routine pregnancy care.
