Settings and conduct

The CCU wards of Imam Reza and Ghaem hospitals in Mashhad.
Nurses and the elderly will be evaluated based on inclusion criteria and after describing the intervention and obtaining informed consent, the concept of ageism will be taught in both groups and biographical intervention will be performed in the intervention group. The tool used is "The Ageism Scale in Hospital Care" which is completed by nurses before and after the intervention.

Participants/Inclusion and exclusion criteria

• Inclusion criteria for the elderly include age over 60,
Consent to publish their biographical information among the CCU care team,
Getting a score higher than 8 in AMT short cognitive test,
Inclusion criteria include at least 6 months of work experience,
Have at least a bachelor's degree in nursing.

Intervention groups
-
The intervention and control group of nurses will be trained about the concept of ageism during a face-to-face training session. The researcher then obtains their biographical information through one or two semi-structured interview sessions with the selected elderly. Then, in order to obtain written consent for the publication of information between the care team, it will provide it to the elderly or first-degree caregivers. Finally, the recorded information will be provided daily to the nurses intervention group, who caregiving of elderly for 6 weeks. In the control group, nurses similar to the intervention group will participate in a training session about the concept of ageism. However, during the intervention, they provide only usual ward care to the elderly.
